CALLING ALL INTERIOR DECORTATORS....

and anyone else with an opinion :) Jeff and I just redid our living room, and I must say we LOVE it!! I posted a picture of our sofa table. Hanging above it, is a group of 9 frames, and now I have to put pictures in it. Here comes my dilemna....do the pictures need to have any rhyme or reason. Like the kids at a certain age, should it be uniform. If so, three rows of 3 makes it hard. So what should it be? Or just random pictures of my kids at whatever age, would that look good?? Then Jeff, thinks they should all be in black and white, so it still looks uniform. I prefer color pictures, but I see his point. What do you think!! I need help!!!!

I think you should put whatever pictures you want in the frames. If they're all in black and white (good suggestion, Jeff), then that is all the uniformity you need. I like the paint color of the room!

I say do whatever is pleasing to you - it's your house! That being said, if you use color photos, they really should have some kind of uniformity: same activity, age, etc.; I'm with Ashlee, if they are black and white, that ties them all together. I also like the paint color.

I wanted to tell you congratulations on your third boy! It will be so much fun and never dull I'm sure. What a blessing! Your sofa table looks very nice. I'm no interior decorator, but I thought I would throw in my two cents. I think the pictures could be any age or activity (in fact I like variety) but they should probably be all color or black/white. :)

I am so jealous that you redecorated a room and got is completely finished, I started my kitchen in March and I am not done yet!! I think pics of the boys would be adorable and 3 times 3 is nine (of course I realize you don't have pics of one of them yet) I am just partial to 3 boys!

I am going to have to agree with the black & white idea. Close ups would be cool as well. But if you wanted to add older pictures of when they were babies you could do that as well. I know that some may be appalled at the idea of Sepia, but I think that would be awesome as well (depending on the color or your room, etc.) That's my 2 cents if it worth anything...

Oh, yes, sepia would be nice. I agree, Jess. It would be a good contrast to the frames. Great idea.

Oops, I mean Taylor. Sorry, I thought that was Jess.

I love the idea. In fact, Ashlee and I have been planning to do the 3 rows of 3 frames, but with 12x12 scrapbooker's frames. I'm going to frame 9 scrapbook pages and put them on the wall of my scrapbook room at home. I think it will look nice. I think the black and white (or sepia) would be nice. Or you can do 9 photos in black and white and color-enhance one object (using photoshop) in each of the photos (like the eyes, or whatever).
I love your table!
